Weezer - Pinkerton (MCA)

Another fine pop album from Weezer, with enough alternative influences (the Pixies in particular) to make it interesting.

Thankfully there's no carbon copy of the OO-WEE-OO song (Buddy Holly), but there are some songs that are almost as catchy on this album, especially new single El Scorcho.

The spooky thing about this album is how much like the Frank and Walters Weezer sound a lot of the time. They've hardly heard the Cork lads all the way over there in Americay, have they? Scary thought.
