Type O Negative - October Rust (Roadrunner) Type O Neg follow up their first gothic opus Bloody Kisses with the more varied October Rust. They seem to have tie-dyed their jet-black sound with some perverted psychedelic riffs. The album is like a mushie trip at night - all dark and gloomy, but at the same time psychedelic, colourful and full of pagan imagery. The band's sense of humour is no less evident on this album than the last. Just check out the lyric "My girl-friend's girlfriend, looks like you. My girlfriend's girlfriend, is my girl too." for proof. The silly opening and closing bits, though, get annoying after the first listen. by Donnacha DeLong
