Lords of Acid - Expand Your Head (Antler Subway Records)
I love the first track, 'Am I Sexy?', mostly because I just like that whole retro '60's dance party music. However, the track is extremely misleading, because it's the only song on the entire disc that sounds like this. The rest of the songs are pretty much just standard happy-go-lucky disco music, with lots of lyrical allusions to getting some, and doing it, and putting this into that, as well as some almost clinical observations of 'The Things Genitalia Do'. To be fair, these guys have been doing this for quite a while. I remember seeing Lords of Acid marquees in Tampa over five years ago, but still, I guess I'm just not cool enough to appreciate this.
