More than fifteen years have passed since the days when 'Tainted Love' was being played on the radio at least once an hour somewhere in America, Marc Almond has been steadily releasing material in the UK. While little of that material has made it over to the States, his newest LP, "Open All Night," can be found just about everywhere. Featuring Almond's wonderful knack for bringing the dank atmosphere of a sleazy, bad-part-of-London bordello into your own living room, the album also includes backup vocals by The Creatures and an ensemble of both electronic and acoustic musicians. Marc Almond has definitely grown up with the age of music technology, and takes full advantage of whatever advances the genre has presented him with.
