Quiet City - Public face, private face Quiet City is the solo project of Nigel Thomas. His day job is as the drummer/percussionist/collaborator with The Blue Nile, and his press release would make you believe he is an influential genius. Now I'll be the first to admit that I normally hate jazz, but I'll give anything a try. Unfortunately for Mr Thomas, this didn't change my mind. Total bog-standard nonsense of the highest order. I'm disappointed something this poor ever got played in my stereo. It all sounds like annoyingly like the theme tune to some midday, BBC game show for grannies. Next please. Ken McGrath Purchase is by mail order only: |
